1st Half
Miami got off to a strong start against the Wildcats, beginning the game on a 7-0 run. The Wildcats missed their first four shot attempts, but would quickly bounce back, going on an 8-2 run to make it a one-point game.
Following the first media timeout, the Hurricanes maintained a slight lead but couldn't gain much separation. A three-pointer byÂ
Jakobi Heady with 14:00 left once again cut Miami's lead to just one. The Hurricanes would then begin to take control of the game with a strong offensive output, outscoring the Wildcats 34-16 the rest of the way and finishing with a 50 point half.

2nd Half
The Hurricanes continued to pull away in the second half, continuing to shoot well while not allowing B-CU's offense to find a rhythm.
A dunk byÂ
Ariel Bland at the 14:47 mark got the game back within 20 points at 65-45. From there though, Miami would increase their lead, continuing their elite offensive performance.
Three-point shooting was a big factor with Miami hitting five of their 11 attempts. Conversely, the Wildcats made just one three-pointer on 13 attempts
