Wildcats Hit the Road Again to Face Dayton

DAYTON, OH - Following their home-opening victory, the Wildcats are back on the road as they travel to take on the Dayton Flyers. The contest will begin at 7:30 p.m. Saturday from University of Dayton Arena, with B-CU looking to improve to 2-2 on the season.

List Time Out Header 1st Half
Daniel Rouzan began the night with the first six points for the home team as the Wildcats (1-2) set the tone early. Coastal Georgia was able to tie the game at four after falling behind, but were quickly overwhelmed by the B-CU offense and were never able to recover.

The Wildcats finished with 49 points in the first half, and they led by as much as 24. The team shot 56.7% from the field and 40% from three while holding the Mariners to 31.4% shooting.

B-CU was especially dominant in the paint, outscoring Coastal Georgia 24-8.

2nd Half
The Cats continued to cruise during the second period, never allowing the Mariners to get within striking distance. B-CU was able to empty their bench as twelve players entered the game. Freshman William Gonzalez scored his first nine points of his college career, draining all three of his three-point attempts in the second half.

The Wildcats scored 52 points, finishing with 101 for the game. The second half was similar to the first as the Wildcats shot 68.8% from the field compared to 31.0% for the Mariners.

B-CU once again dominated the interior, adding 30 more points in the paint.

Scouting the Opponent In-Story Header
The Dayton Flyers play in the Atlantic 10 Conference and are 2-1 thus far on the season. They began the season with a 40-point win over Canisius and followed it up with a six-point victory over UMBC. Both games were played at home. In their most recent game, the Flyers suffered a 12-point loss to Cincinnati on the road.

Dayton is led in scoring by senior Javon Bennet. The 5-10 guard is averaging 16.0 per game while also tied for the team lead in assists with 10. Sophomore 7-footer L'etang Amael is the Flyer's second leading scorer (14.0 points) and leading rebounder, averaging just under seven per game.

The Flyers have struggled from beyond the arc so far this season, shooting just 20% from three as a team. But they are sixth in the country in turnover margin, committing just 26 turnovers through three games.
History In-Story Header Bethune-Cookman and Dayton have faced only two times in their history. The Flyers won both matchups, with their last game coming in 2008.
