Skyhawks Hold off Wildcats

DELAND, Fla. - Kailyn Peters scored a season-high 15 points, but it wasn't enough as Stonehill defeated Bethune-Cookman 74-68 at the Edmund Center. The Wildcats were able to recover from a slow start to take the lead in the second half, but the Skyhawks went on a fourth-quarter run to close it out.

As a team, Stonehill shot 58.3% in the first, compared to 35.7% for the Wildcats

3rd Quarter
The third was tightly contested as both teams scored the basketball efficiently. The Wildcats shot 52.9% from the field and were able to hold the Skyhawks to just 10 shot attempts in the frame.

B-CU took their first lead of the game with 5:07 remaining following a turnaround jumper by Kailyn Peters. Stonehill would retake the lead with :33 seconds, but Keira Gregory made a big three-pointer with eight seconds left to grab a one-point lead heading into the fourth.

4th Quarter
Stonehill scored the first five points in the fourth, eventually increasing their lead to six with 7:18 left. The Wildcats continued to fight, going on an 8-2 run to tie the game at 59.
