Kayla Clark Joins CB Sevilla Femenino in Spain

Former women’s basketball player signs pro contract

SEVILLE, Spain – Former Bethune-Cookman Women's Basketball standout Kayla Clark has inked a professional women's basketball contract in Spain, with the center signing on to join DOC GardenStore Baloncesto Sevilla Femenino in Seville.
 
CB Sevilla Femenino, known as DOC GardenStore Sevilla for sponsorship purposes, competes in Liga Femenina Challenge – the second division of Spanish Women's Basketball. Last season, the team won finished as champions of Liga Femenina 2 with a 20-6 overall record, en route to a 3-1 mark in Playoff-A stage two – promotion phase. They defeated Hierros Díaz Extremadura Miralvalle by a score of 71-62, while Unibasket Logroño finished in second place.
 
Clark, a 6-foot-3 center from Miami, Florida, helped Bethune-Cookman to an appearance in the 2025 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Tournament after recording a team second-most 256 points (8.3 per game), second-highest 220 rebounds (7.1 per game) – seventh-most in the league, going on to lead the team in blocks (32) as well. Throughout her career, Clark shot at a 44.7 percent clip from the field, tallying 905 points, 877 rebounds, 136 steals and 88 blocks across four seasons.
 
Under the guise of Janell Crayton Del Rosario, recently completing her fourth year as head coach of the Wildcats women's basketball program, Clark represents her first student-athlete to sign a professional contract since arriving in Daytona Beach – and B-CU's first since becoming a member of the SWAC.
 
"Kayla [Clark] was a pivotal part of our program across four years, and her loyalty to the program was unmatched," expressed a jubilant Crayton Del Rosario. "As a staff, we are so excited and proud of her, and we wish her the very best knowing she's going to do great things in the future, not only representing this program to the highest level of professionalism, but also the university as a proud alum."
 
In announcing the signing of Clark on its website, the CB Sevilla Femenino coaching staff said they are thrilled about the arrival of Clark, whom they expect to bring strength and intimidation to the squad's interior game.
 
"Buena suerte en el CB Sevilla Femenino, Kayla," roared Crayton Del Rosario.
 
Seville, the capital city of the Andalusian area of Spain, is the fourth-largest city in the country, is a city with a deep sports history, housing two of Spain's most prestigious football/soccer teams in the form of Sevilla and Real Betis, respectively, both of whom play in La Liga – the top tier of Spanish football/soccer.
