DAYTONA BEACH - The Wildcats took care of business in
Doctor Bradley's season-debut, beating the Tigers 74-65 at Moore Gymnasium. The victory is their second straight and propels them to 2-0 to begin SWAC competition.
1st Half
Bethune-Cookman (5-10, 2-0) and Grambling State (8-8, 2-1) struggled to find an offensive rhythm early, though the Wildcats maintained a narrow advantage for much of the opening half. B-CU held a 16–12 lead at the under-eight media timeout, but closed the half on a 14-4 run to push the lead to take a 74-65 lead at the half.
The Wildcats' defense set the tone, limiting Grambling State to 37.9 percent shooting while forcing nine first-half turnovers.
Making his season debut, Doctor Bradley made an immediate impact off the bench. In 10 first-half minutes, Bradley recorded two points, two rebounds, and two assists. Tyler Andrew continued his strong play from the Florida A&M game, leading Bethune-Cookman with nine points, highlighted by three made three-pointers.
2nd Half
B-CU held a comfortable advantage for the majority of the second. Grambling cut the deficit to seven with :56 seconds left, but it was too little too late.
The Cats were elite on the glass in the second, out-rebounding the Tigers 21-16 while grabbing nine offensive rebounds.
Defensively, B-CU held the Tigers to 40.7% shooting, never allowing GSU to get into any rhythm throughout the game.
- Daniel Rouzan led B-CU with 15 points. He received a Flagrant 2 foul and was ejected with 56 seconds remaining.
- In his season debut, Doctor Bradley finished with seven points, five rebounds, and four assists.
- Rickey Ballard led the Tigers with 14 points.
- The Tigers were held to 39.3% shooting from the field and 20% from three-point range.
- The Wildcats led for 85.2% of the game.

The Wildcats will close out the conference-opening home stand against Southern Monday at 7 p.m. EST.
