DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman men's basketball returners Daniel Perez-Rouzan and Quentin Heady have been selected to the Preseason All-SWAC teams, the Southwestern Athletic Conference unveiled Tuesday from its headquarters in Birmingham. Perez-Rouzan was named to the First Team, while Quentin Heady earned Second Team recognition.
Perez-Rouzan returns to the Bethune-Cookman for his third season after back-to-back appearances on the All-SWAC Second Team. He played a key role in the Wildcats' SWAC regular season championship run, averaging 11.8 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game. He was especially strong on the interior, finishing second on the team in offensive rebounds and total rebounds while placing third in blocks.
The graduate student out of Las Vegas, Nevada recorded two double-doubles in 2025-26, while delivering several standout performances in conference play. He posted 25 points and 13 rebounds in a win over Jackson State and added 24 points against Alcorn State.
Quentin Heady grew into a reliable weapon on both ends of the floor last year, despite dealing with a nagging wrist injury. He achieved averages of 10.4 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. The Chicago native showcased a strong ability to get to the rim, ranking second on the Wildcats with 124 free-throw attempts. He was also excellent defensively, collecting 33 steals and 15 blocks.
The junior forward was excellent in SWAC play, finishing with 17 points and eight rebounds against Southern and 17 points with five rebounds versus Prairie View A&M.
The returning duo will hope to build on last season's regular season success with an NCAA Tournament appearance. It would be the first in program history.
