Jakobi Heady scored a season-high 30 points, willing the Wildcats to a scrappy 82-76 victory over Prairie View A&M at Moore Gymnasium. The win is B-CU's seventh straight, continuing their best start ever in SWAC play.
1st Half
Bethune-Cookman () struggled to find an offensive rhythm throughout the first half and allowed Prairie View A&M () to build an early advantage

The Panthers began the game on an 8-2 run, capped off by a Lance Williams three-pointer. B-CU would respond with a 12-4 push to take a four-point lead.
The Wildcats struggled to maintain separation, as Prairie View was able to tie the game at 25 with 6:44 remaining. The Panthers were ahead by as many as five before Bethune-Cookman re-tied the game 36-36 going into halftime.
Both teams shot below 40% from the field and combined to go 3-of-22 from three-point range. Each team also shot below 65% from the free throw line, but the Wildcats won the rebounding advantage 34 to 23.
Jakobi Heady led all scorers with 16. Lance Williams had 12 for Prairie View.
2nd Half
The second half was tightly contested throughout, with the two teams trading leads multiple times.

Quentin Heady jumper with 6:26 remaining marked the first time all half that either team was ahead by more than one possession.
The Panthers fought back to keep within striking distance but were unable to retake the lead.
Jakobi Heady gave the Wildcats a five point lead with 4:02 left and made several key plays down the stretch to close it out.
Both teams struggled from three-point range once again, but the Wildcats continued to control the glass and converted 15 of 18 attempts from the free-throw line.
Jakobi Heady continued to score at a high-level in the second, managing 14 points to give him 30 for the game.
