ATLANTA — Cory Wells and Dontae Horne combined for 57 points as the Panthers pulled off a shocking 71-67 upset of the top-seeded Wildcats at Gateway Center Arena.

1st Half
The first half was tightly contested, with Prairie View A&M holding the slight edge throughout the majority of the period.
Bethune-Cookman held the Panthers to 40.7% shooting, but PVAMU shot 3-of-6 from three-point range.
The Wildcats finished the half with seven turnovers, leading to nine points for the Panthers.
Dontae Horne led all scorers with 18 points in the first, shooting 6-of-8 from the field and draining two three-pointers.
Jakobi Heady scored 11 to lead the Wildcats. The score was tied at 32 heading into the break.
2nd Half
The second continued where the first left off as neither team could gain any kind of separation on the scoreboard.
The Wildcats grabbed a five-point lead with 14:32 remaining following a Jakobi Heady jumper, their largest lead of the game. But the Panthers quickly responded to tie the game at 42.
B-CU would stretch the lead to seven points at the 6:42 mark, but Prairie View rallied once again to tie the game at 65.
Jakobi Heady made two free-throws to give the Cats a 67-65 advantage with 1:53 left, but the Wildcats would fail to score again. B-CU went 0-for-4 in the final minute and a half, while the Panthers received key baskets by Dontae Horne to seal the win.
Overall, the Panthers shot 57.7% in the second half while going 5-of-7 from beyond the arc. The Wildcats shot 1-of-7 from three while shooting just 43.8%.
