DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.  – Former Bethune-Cookman men's basketball guard Jakobi Heady has signed a contract to play professionally with Basketball Club Oostende. an organization based in Belgium.

Heady earned his second All-SWAC selection this past season during his second stint with Bethune-Cookman. He was one of the most productive and efficient players in the SWAC, averaging 18.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.5 steals per game while leading Bethune-Cookman to a regular season conference championship. The senior ranked fifth in the conference in scoring and first in field goal percentage, shooting an efficient .520 from the floor while also posting .432 from three-point range and .791 at the free throw line.

Heady delivered multiple standout performances throughout the season, including a season-high 30 points in a win over Prairie View A&M. He finished the season with five SWAC weekly awards, winning player of the week three times and impact player of the week twice.
