Kaci Vassallo enters her first season with the Bethune-Cookman softball program.
She comes to B-CU from the University of Charleston, helping the Golden Eagles post an overall record of 28-23 and 19-13 in conference. Vassallo assisted in coaching Charleston’s first ever NFCA first-team all-American and Charleston's first conference player of the year, as well as 4 first team all-conference players.
Vassallo started her collegiate coaching career at Eastern Florida state college under head coach Jim Beitia. Vassallo oversaw the offense, as well as working closely with the outfield from 2019-2021. In her time there they had a conference player of the year and numerous 1st team all-conference and 2nd team all-conference pick nominations.
Vassallo spent three seasons with the NLS softball organization as a head coach of the 18U team and Assistant coach of the 16U team. She also spent three seasons as a head coach at Merritt Island high school.
Vassallo started her coaching career as an assistant coach for her alma Mara Viera High School during the 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 school year. The Hawks took home district championships both seasons and made it to a regional final both seasons.
Vassallo spent her college career at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida playing 194 games in four years and posted a career batting average of .285
She graduated from Lynn with a Bachelors in Sports Management with a minor in Psychology. Vassallo is currently working on her Masters of science in strategic leadership.
