<strong><em>SWAC Hitter of the Week (April 16-22)</em></strong><br />  <br /> <strong><u>Freshman (2024)</u></strong> <ul> <li>Played and started in 51 games as a true freshman for the Wildcats</li> <li>Batted .287 for the year with a team second-most 43 hits</li> <li>Drove in a team-leading 27 runs while scoring 19 runs of her own</li> <li>Recorded a .353 slugging percentage in posting a team-high matching 10 doubles – allowing her to finish tied for ninth in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) in that department</li> <li>Second-toughest player to strike out on the team – recording just nine in 150 at-bats</li> <li>Led the SWAC in sacrifice flies (7), adding another seven sac bunts across the season – tied for sixth in the league</li> <li>Registered a perfect percentage in stolen bases amassing eight steals in eight attempts</li> <li>Had a .954 fielding percentage in collecting 82 putouts and 63 assists on the campaign</li> <li>Went 2-for-3 at the plate in back-to-back games against Stetson (2/17) and BYU (2/22), respectively</li> <li>Finished her first SWAC series against Mississippi Valley State (3/10-11) batting .556 with a 5-for-9 showing adding three runs, a double and four RBIs</li> <li>Against Alabama A&M (3/23-24), Alaan batted 6-for-11 with five RBIs</li> <li>Finished the series finale against the Bulldogs (3/24) going 3 of 4 at the dish with an RBI and a run scored</li> <li>In the return series versus AAMU (4/12-13), she finished 7-for-10 batting with a .700 percentage to go along with six runs scored, three doubles and six RBIs</li> </ul>  <br /> <strong><u>Diamond Ranch HS</u></strong> <ul> <li>Played her prep softball under Head Coach Chenita Rogers-Edwards at Diamond Ranch High School</li> <li>Played travel ball for the Corona Angels under Head Coach Dena Slye</li> <li>Started at both third base and second base</li> <li>Concluded her career batting .405 with an on-base percentage of .481 in two years on the varsity squad</li> <li>Amassed 45 hits, 24 RBIs and scored 12 runs</li> <li>As a junior, she played in 21 games and batted .459 with 28 hits, 17 RBIs, three doubles, a triple and a home run</li> <li>Tallied six stolen bases during her senior season</li> </ul>  <br /> <strong><u>Personal</u></strong> <ul> <li>Birth date is March 4, 2005</li> <li>Daughter of Robert and Christine Alaan</li> <li>Has two siblings – Jaya and Jayda</li> <li>Majoring in Nursing</li> <li>Nickname is “Jerzy”</li> </ul>
