Team MVP and team captain in her senior year… Selected first team all-county by the Tampa Bay Times… Second team all-conference selection by the Suncoast Times… All-state honorable mention… Helped her team to a runner-up finish at districts… Led the team in batting average as a junior… Team captain in 2015… Second team all-conference… All-county second team… District runner-up in 2015… Had seven RBIs while batting .750 with a .980 fielding percentage in a game against Bayshore High during her junior season… As a freshman batted .320 with a .930 fielding percentage… Member of the National Honor Society… Named to the Principal’s List…

Majoring in International Studies/Affairs… Parents are Carl and Lisa Brody… Has one younger sibling, Clayton… Full name is Mara Lacole Brody… Aside from softball, enjoys traveling taking pictures and cooking… Chose to attend Bethune-Cookman because she felt that it was the best opportunity for her to continue playing softball at a high level, as well as getting a good college education for a good price… Lists Tampa Bay Rays as her favorite sports team… The Lion King is her favorite movie… Favorite actress is Viola Davis… Favorite book is Of Mice and Men… Loves R&B music, especially Usher and Beyoncé… Enjoys eating tacos and queso… Says her parents are the biggest influence in her life because they worked hard for everything they have received in their lives…
