2013-14 Outdoor Track (Junior)
Began the Outdoor slate at the Shamrock Invitational (3/20-3/22) with an eighth-place finish in the shot put and a mark of 13.77m (45-02.25 ft.)...Threw a season-best 34.15m (112-00 ft.) in the discus at the UF Tom Jones Memorial Invitational (4/19), finishing 10th...Concluded the season at the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Outdoor Championships (5/1-5/3) at North Carolina A&T’s (N.C. A&T) Irwin Belk Track, aiding B-CU to a fifth-place team finish with a career-best second place shot put of 14.18m (46-06.25 ft.)...Also finished 12th in the discus at MEAC...Garnered MEAC All-Academic honors.
2013-14 Indoor Track (Junior)
Richardson began the year at the Gamecock Indoor Open #1 (1/11) with a victory, throwing 13.79m (45-03.00 ft.) in the weight throw for first place, also finishing second in the shot put with a mark of 13.64m (44-09.00 ft.)...At the Southern Miss Invitational (1/30), Richardson recorded a season-best shot put toss of 13.65m (44-09.50 ft.) for second place...Wrapping up the Indoor season at the MEAC Indoor Championships (2/13-2/15) at the Prince George’s Sports and Learning Complex (PGSLC) in Landover, Md., Richardson threw a career-best mark of 16.22m (53-02.75 ft.) in the weight throw, also scoring in the shot put with a fifth-place toss of 13.57m (44-06.25 ft.)...Garnered MEAC All-Academic honors.
2012-13 Outdoor Track (Sophomore)
Opened her sophomore Outdoor campaign at the UNF Spring Break Invitational (3/1-3/2), finishing third in the shot put with a distance of 13.22m (43-04.5 ft.) and 10th-place finish in the discus with a career-best mark of 35.45m (116-04 ft.)...Again put up points at the conference meet, with a sixth-place finish in the shot put at the MEAC Outdoor Championships (5/2-5-4) at N.C. A&T, reaching 13.84m (45-05.00 ft.).
2012-13 Indoor Track (Sophomore)
Richardson began her second Indoor season at the UAB Blazer Invitational (1/11), throwing 12.30m (40-04.25 ft.) in the weight throw...She came away with a pair of season bests to conclude the year at the MEAC Indoor Championships (2/14-2/16) at PGSLC, coming in eighth in the shot put at 13.22m (43-04.5 ft.) and ninth in the weight throw at 13.84m (45-05.00 ft.).
2011-12 Outdoor Track (Freshman)
Opened her rookie Outdoor season at the Savannah State Eyeopener (2/25), finishing second in the shot put with a mark of 12.19m (40-00.00 ft.), third in the javelin with a career-best distance of 25.50m (83-08 ft.) and sixth in the at 30.78m (101-00 ft.)...Set a season-best mark of 13.45m (44-01.50 ft.) in the shot put at the UF Tom Jones Memorial Invitational (4/21)...At the MEAC Outdoor Championships (5/3-5/5) at N.C. A&T, Richardson logged a pair of scoring performances, finishing sixth in the shot put with a mark of 13.33m (43-09.00 ft.) and eighth in the discus with a season-long 33.43m (109-08 ft.).
2011-12 Indoor Track (Freshman)
Richardson made her Indoor collegiate debut at the Clemson Orange & Purple Winter Classic (12/3), finishing fifth in the shot put with a mark of 12.10m (39-08.50 ft.), also finishing ninth in the weight throw with a distance of 12.79m (41-11.50 ft.)...In her second meet, the Jimmy Carnes College Invitational (1/14), Richardson finished second in the shot put with a season-best distance of 13.00m (42-08.00 ft.)...In the following meet, at the Florida Gator Invitational (1/22), she finished 10th in the weight throw with a season-best 14.00m (45-11.25 ft.)...At the MEAC Indoor Championships (2/16-2/18) at the PGSLC, Richardson finished ninth in both the SP and WT.
High School
Competed as a thrower at Roosevelt High School for Coaches Jeff Byrd, Harold Tate and Will Finely...Richardson earned MVP honors for the Teddies as a Captain in her senior season...She threw 12.68m (40-19 ft.) in the shot put as a senior, winning the Minneapolis City Conference Championship and finishing second at the MSHSL Section 6AA Finals, advancing to the State meet...Richardson threw 29.31m (96-02 ft.) in the discus to finish eighth at the Section 6AA meet...As a junior, Richardson earned team MVP honors and finished eighth in the shot put at the Minnesota State Track & Field Meet with a distance of 11.66m (38-03 ft.)...Earned multiple academic honors on the A/B Honor Roll.

Born Desiree Monique Richardson on May 22, 1993 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, she is the daughter of Dionna Richardson...She has two siblings, Jia and Jada (Both 14)...Off the track, Richardson enjoys dancing, acting and cooking...Chose Bethune-Cookman for its HBCU history and a new location...Notes winning a City Championship on a sprained ankle as her best sports memory...Cites her mother as her biggest influence, because her mother wants her to do better in all that she does...Majoring in Physical Education and Recreation at Bethune-Cookman.
