2013-14 Outdoor Track (Redshirt Freshman)
Williams opened his rookie Outdoor season at the Shamrock Invitational (3/20-3/22), finishing second with a height of 2.10m (6-10.75 ft.) in the high jump...Registered his Outdoor season best in the high jump at the North Florida Invitational (4/26) with a first-place measurement of 2.14m (7-00.25 ft.)...Although Williams was unable to defend his high jump title at the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Outdoor Championships (5/1-5/3), he finished second with a mark of 2.11m (6-11.00 ft.) at North Carolina A&T’s (N.C. A&T) Irwin Belk Track, adding key points in B-CU’s first-ever Men’s MEAC Outdoor Championship...Garnered Second Team All-MEAC honors...Competed in the NCAA East Preliminary in Jacksonville, Fla., jumping 2.10m (6-10.75 ft.) to finish 24th in the HJ...Ranked 17th in the NCAA East Region (41st nationally) in the final Outdoor HJ standings...Named MEAC Field Athlete of the Week (4/30).

2013-14 Indoor Track (Redshirt Freshman)
Williams made his Indoor collegiate debut at the Gamecock Indoor Open #1 (1/11), opening his career with a victory in the high jump, at a height of 2.03m (6-08 ft.)...Progressed well throughout the Indoor season, culminating in a conference high jump title at the MEAC Indoor Championships (2/13-2/15) at the Prince George’s Sports and Learning Center (PGSLC) in Landover, Md., placing first with a career-best mark of 2.16m (7-01 ft.), aiding the Wildcats to a program-first MEAC Indoor Runner-up finish...Ranked in a tie for 30th in the NCAA in the final Indoor HJ standings...Garnered First Team All-MEAC honors.

Williams did not compete in any meets and redshirted during the 2012-13 season.

High School
Competed as a high jumper and hurdler at Warren County High School under Coach Richard Harrington, aiding the Screamin’ Devils to a Georgia State Championship in his freshman year and Region 7A titles through his first three years at WCHS...As a senior, Williams ranked first in Georgia in the high jump and tied for seventh in the nation (all classes); ranking as high as second nationally during the summer...Earned Class A Section East title in the high jump with a height of 2.03m (6-08 ft.), finishing second at the 2012 Georgia Olympics...Just before the Sectionals, Williams won the Burke County Relays (3/17) with a meet and school record 2.13m (7-00 ft.) jump, tying the Region 7a record as well...He also placed third at the Class A Section East meet in the 110m hurdles in a time of 16.13...Named Team MVP and Captain in his final season at WCHS...As a junior, Williams placed second the 2011 Georgia Olympics in the high jump with a height of 2.08m (6-10 ft.)...During his sophomore campaign, he won the Region 7A Championship in the 300m hurdles, placing sixth at the 2010 Georgia Olympics...Was a multi-sport athlete at WCHS---four-year starter in football as a tight end and defensive end, amassing 276 receiving yards with five touchdowns as a senior; four-year basketball starter at forward; two-year starter in baseball...Listed on Milesplit's People to Watch list as a senior.

Born Ed’Ricus Jermain Williams on July 6, 1994 in Warrenton, Ga., he is the son of Vera Williams and Curtis Williams, Sr. ...Has three siblings; Andi (28), Curtis, Jr. (25) and Darius (21)...Comes from a very athletic family; his mother played basketball at Savannah State, his father played football at Tennessee Martin and his oldest brother played basketball and ran track at Paine College...Off the track, he spends time learning new things, including skateboarding and how to do things that someone his height typically would not...He chose Bethune-Cookman because the coaches and athletes really invited him in and treated him like one of their brothers or sons...As for pre-competition rituals, Williams listens to music (typically hip-hop, but not exclusively), eats Gatorade Prime gummies, stretches until he’s dripping sweat and then prays...Cites his family as his biggest influence...Recently put in community service work at Turie T. Small Elementary School...Majoring in Mass Communications at Bethune-Cookman.
