2013-14 Outdoor Track (Sophomore)
Competed in his first collegiate outdoor meet at the 63rd Annual FAMU Relays (3/1), finishing eighth in the 1600m with a career-best time of 4:47.61, also aiding the 1600m sprint medley relay team to a seventh-place finish...Also ran a personal-best time of 2:13.13 in the 800m at the UNF Spring Break Invitational (3/28).

2013 Cross Country (Sophomore)
Improved performances in Simpson’s sophomore campaign, opening with a 44th-place finish in 30:59.4 at the 18th Annual Disney Cross Country Classic (10/12)...Ran his fastest 8k time of the season at the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Cross Country Championships (10/26) on the campus of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES), finishing 47th in 29:38.4.

Competed in his first collegiate cross country meet at the UCF Black and Gold Challenge (10/12), running an 8k time of 32:56.8...Quickly improved to finish 63rd at the MEAC Cross Country Championships (10/27) at UMES, running a season-best time of 31:51.0.

Born Ronald Bernard Simpson on April 28, 1994 in Perry, Ga. ...He is the son of Ronald and Kesha Simpson...In high school, Simpson participated in Talent Search and ROTC...He also formed a church group called Helping Hands, which aided members of the community...Proximity to home was a major factor in his B-CU decision...Notes his ROTC Gunnery Sergeant in high school as his biggest influence, because he knew Simpson was good and pushed him to be better...Majoring in International Studies at Bethune-Cookman.
