JUNIOR SEASON (2016-17): Appeared in 28 games, started 26, averaging 4.3 points while dishing out 76 assists...Had consecutive 11 point games at Jacksonville and Stetson...Came up big in MEAC tournament semifinals, scoring 11 points with 7 rebounds and a pair of critical early 3 pointers...Dished out season high 7 assists at South Carolina State...Hit a three-pointer in 12 games.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2015-16): Appeared in 19 games, averaging 2.0 points ... After missing first nine games, had nine points in nine minutes against Warner ... had 12 points in 4 for 5 shooting against North Carolina A&T.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2014-15): Appeared in 28 games as a rookie coming off the bench as a significant reserve … Averaged 19.3 minutes per contest while totaling 154 points (5.5 ppg) … Williams also added 1.3 assists per game and shot 27.7% from behind the arc for the Wildcats (26-for-94) … Had her best scoring outing on Dec. 15, 2014 against Akron scoring a season-best fifteen points … Scored in double-digits seven times during the season.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Coral Springs Charter High School, where she played two of her four seasons under Coach Ericka Haney. Williams aided the Panthers to an FHSAA Girls Basketball 4A State Runner-up finish, with 14-4A District and Regional Championships in her junior season...CSHS made it to the Regional Semifinal in her senior season...As a senior, Williams averaged 13 points, six (6) assists and two (2) steals, earning First Team All-Broward County and Second Team Florida All-State honors...She was a Team Captain and was named MVP...After her final season, she appeared in the Broward vs. Dade and FACA North vs. South All-Star Games...Also a Team Captain as a junior, Williams averaged 12.4 points, four (4) assists and three (3) steals per game, garnering Broward County 4A Player of the Year and First Team All-Broward honors...In addition, she was named to the Broward County Honorable Mention Team in her freshman and sophomore seasons...While in high school, she provided community service at Camillus House feeding the less fortunate and helped coach kids at the Boys & Girls Club of Broward County.
PERSONAL: Born Emily Kala Williams on September 3, 1995 in Coral Springs, Florida, she is the daughter of Marsha and Dwaine Williams...She has four siblings, two brothers and two sisters; Amber (25), Dwaine, Jr. (24), Kendrick (22) and Whittney (21)...Off the court, she enjoys fishing, boating, reading and water sports...Chose Bethune-Cookman to help the program win a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Championship...Notes her best sports memory as leading her high school team to the State Championship...Cites her biggest influences as her mother, who taught her to always go for what she wants and never let anyone tell her anything different...Williams is majoring in Criminal Justice at Bethune-Cookman.
