JUNIOR SEASON (2016-17): Appeared in 26 games, starting two...Had 5 points, 5 rebounds and three blocks in season-opener win vs. Edward Waters...Posted 7 rebounds against North Florida...Scored 5 points as B-CU clinched MEAC regular season title with win over Norfolk State...Saw action in WNIT game vs. Wake Forest.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2015-16): Appeared in 29 games started in 16… averaged 16.4 minutes per game… Scored 62 points, 18 assists, 71 rebounds… Contributed with three blocked shots in the Wildcats victory against Warner on 12/15… Had 4 rebounds against South Carolina State on 12/7.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2014-15): Appeared in 30 games, starting 26 and averaging 1.9 points and 3.2 rebounds ... Posted seven rebounds against East Carolina and Coppin State ... Had five points, six rebounds and two steals against Howard.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played her high school ball at Pike High School under Coach Robert Anglea, where she was a four-year letter winner...In her final year, Edwards aided the Red Devils to their first Sectional 11 title in eight seasons, with PHS going all the way to the IHSAA Class 4A Regional Final...As a senior, Edwards averaged seven (7) points, eight (8) rebounds and two (2) blocks per contest...She was named First Team All-Marion County, also earning her team’s Distinguished Athlete Award and Mental Attitude Award...She was named an Indiana Class Basketball All-Star...As a junior, Edwards averaged five (5) points, eight (8) rebounds and two (2) blocks, earning All-Marion Honorable Mention, Conference Indiana Honorable Mention and her team’s Most Improved Player Award...She also earned the Mental Attitude Award for her play as a sophomore.

PERSONAL: Born Lyndsey Monet Edwards on September 11, 1995 in Indianapolis, Indiana, she is the daughter of Shellie Edwards and Kevin Edwards...She has three siblings; Lauren Holliday (28), Kevin Edwards II (22) and Kellie Edwards (20)...Off the court, Edwards enjoys several types of artistic endeavors, including drawing and painting...Chose Bethune-Cookman because of the welcoming feeling she got during her visit...Notes her best sports memory as winning the Sectional Championship during her senior year in high school (2014), a win the program had not earned since 2006...Her most prized possession is her Nefertiti gold necklace, which belonged to her mother, and grand-mother before her...Cites her mother as her biggest influence, because she has always been a part of everything that she has done and would do anything to make sure she is successful...Edwards’ major is Undecided at this point in her Bethune-Cookman career.
