Completed her freshman year with an 80.24 stroke average… Competed in seven events, all during the spring season… Carded 17 rounds with 1,364 stroke altogether… Turned in one top five appearance and two top 10 performances on the campaign… Had a relative to par average of 8-over… Finished her first collegiate tournament – Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Spring Classic, with a 19-over-par scorecard using rounds of 80, 75 and 80, respectfully… Ended the event with a collective 235… Tied for 19th out of 76 competitors during the Lady EagleCat Invitational, co-hosted by Bethune-Cookman and Winthrop at LPGA International in Daytona Beach… Picked up a 162 scorecard (84-78)… Fired a 13-over and finished tied for 25th at the Low Country Intercollegiate as she carried a 157 (81-76)… Produced a 23-over while firing a 167 (79-88) in the Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate… Had her best round of the year in helping Bethune-Cookman win the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Showcase, using an even-par 72 in the opening round… Finished with a 152 (72-80) and tied for fourth overall… Picked up consecutive top 10 performances with a seventh place finish as B-CU defended its PGA Minority College Championship in Port St. Lucie, Florida… Finished 15-over in firing a 231 (75-79-77), using a 3-over 75 in her opening round of play…

Attended Instituto Jefferson de Morelia her first two years of high school, followed by Instituto Césare de Cancun for her final year and graduation…
Personal
Born to parents Enrique Gerardo Sanchez Mejorada Cortes (father) and Martha Alejandra Mendoza Castellanos (mother) in Morelia, Mexico… Has two sisters (Andrea and Martha) and a brother (Nino)… Enjoys traveling, listening to music and watching soccer (Liga MX)… Chose to attend Bethune-Cookman because of the location and well-known golf program… Her first impression of Daytona Beach was that it made her feel at home because of the beach atmosphere… Favorite sports memory is playing in the Callaway World Tournament and the Optimist… Favorite music is Reggaeton… Favorite meal is sushi… Most prized possession is a pair of cards from her great-grandmother and a golf club from her grandfather…
