Lauren Stack enters her first year with the Bethune-Cookman women’s basketball staff as an assistant coach, bringing a strong background as a student-athlete, leader, and scholar to the Wildcats program.
Stack arrives in Daytona Beach following her time at George Mason, where she served as a graduate assistant for the 2025–26 season under former B-CU head coach Vanessa Blair-Lewis while pursuing her master’s degree in sport management. In that role, she supported all aspects of the program, including practice preparation, game operations, and player development.
A native of St. Charles, Illinois, Stack enjoyed a decorated five-year playing career at American University. A three-year team captain, she helped lead the Eagles to the 2022 Patriot League Championship and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament. She was named the team’s Most Valuable Player for the 2022-23 season after leading the squad in field goal percentage (.482) while ranking among the team leaders in scoring, rebounding, and defensive categories.
Stack appeared in over 120 career games with the Eagles, making more than 90 starts. During her graduate season in 2023-24, she started all 30 games, averaging 6.7 points and 4.3 rebounds per contest while contributing across the stat sheet with assists, steals, and blocks. She recorded multiple double-doubles during her career and consistently impacted the game on both ends of the floor.
Equally accomplished in the classroom, Stack was a five-time Dean’s List honoree and earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors in 2023 and 2024. She was also named to the Patriot League All-Academic Team in 2024 and was a multiple-time member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
Stack graduated from American University in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a minor in chemistry.
Coming from a basketball family, Stack’s passion for the game runs deep, with both her parents and siblings having competed at the collegiate level.
