Michael Truilo joined Bethune-Cookman as the “Voice of the Wildcats” in August 2021. The up-and-coming play-by-play radio announcer began with 1380 WELE The Cat before transitioning to the CatEye Network full-time.
Truilo currently serves as the radio personality for all Bethune-Cookman Football, Volleyball, Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, Baseball and Softball games. A native of Ormond Beach, Florida, he graduated from James Madison University, where he studied and trained to be a professional opera singer.
Outside of his role with the CayEye Network, Truilo is one of the founding members of the Simulation League broadcast team. The Simulation FL was established in 2013 with the intent to provide the highest quality simulation football product in the world – a new kind of Esport that breaks down barriers of entry to heart-pounding competition from the comfort of home.
Truilo also serves as the public address announcer for many local events in and around Volusia County at the Ocean Center, Stetson University, and the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) State Championships.
