Bethune-Cookman University shot a team score of 587 (+19) to finish in fourth place over the weekend at the annual Mission Inn Collegiate Classic at the El Campeon-Mission Inn Course in Howey-In-The-Hills, Fla.
B-CU rode the play of Dan Venema and Carl Corbin to attack the field on both days of competition.
Corbin, shooting a two-day score of 145, tied for seventh place alongside teammate Venema to lead the Wildcats overall. Corbin used scores of 74 and 71, while Venema shot 75 and 70 through the two rounds.
Lipscomb University took top honors as a team with a score of 579 (+11), while St. John's was just behind them with 582 (+14).
Cody Hale (-6) of Lipscomb shot 136 to lead the individual honors in the tournament.
Also playing in the field for the Wildcats was Willie Mack III (+7) as he collected a two-day total of 149 to finish tied at the 27th position. Chris Dunn (+8) shot 73 and 77, while Sean Edey (+16) finished with 158 on scores of 83 and 75.
Western Kentucky (584) finished third, while Jacksonville State (587) finished fifth to round-out the top five teams.
