Daytona Beach, Fla. - Due to severe weather of the blizzard mentality in the Philadelphia, Pa. area, the Bethune-Cookman University vs. Temple baseball series scheduled to begin tonight at 6 p.m. has been rescheduled. Blizzard weather, however, is something the Wildcats of B-CU are uncommon with altogether.

The Owls of Temple were not allowed to leave the Philadelphia area due to all flights in and out of the local airport were cancelled for the entire day on Friday, and the Wildcats have rescheduled the three-game series in Daytona Beach to begin on Sunday. These prescheduled contests were to serve as the season-opener for both squads as the NCAA Division I college baseball season begins this weekend around the nation.

The new format will now be a doubleheader on Sunday beginning at noon at Jackie Robinson Ballpark, followed by a single-game affair on Monday at 11 a.m. Both contests of the doubleheader will be nine-inning games.

Tickets for the event will still be good as one price of $5 will be suitable for both games on Sunday. There are still plenty of tickets available, and live stats for the event will also be available through GameTracker on the official home website for all Bethune-Cookman University athletics at www.BCCathletics.com.
