WILDCAT FOOTBALL AT SOUTH CAROLINA STATE SATURDAY

Charleston, S.C. - B-CU's defensive back Antonio Cox returned an interception 93 yards for a touchdown late in the second quarter to tie the game at 7-7. 

Bethune-Cookman (1-0) missed an opportunity to lead 3-0 in the first quarter with a long drive resulting in a 20 yard missed FG by freshman kicker Matt McCutcheon.

First half stat leaders - B-CU QB Matthew Johnson started and played all the way (QB McKinson Souverain) was a game time decision to start and has not played. Johnson was 3-4 passing for 26 yards and he rushed 8 attempts for 33 yards. So. RB Brian Sumlar rushed 8 times for 28 yards. SCSU outgained the Wildcats 246-93 in the first half.
