DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Bethune-Cookman volleyball team added its first signee for 2009 last Tuesday with the addition of Danielle Goodrum.

"Janeen will be a great addition to the team because of her powerful swing, persistence, and great work ethic," B-CU Head Coach Vanessa Cogswell said of the 5'10" Outside Hitter. "She is expected to be a big contributor on the floor."

"She is a go-getter and will swing at everything," Cogswell continued, "which is a great asset to have in an OH.  Not only that, but she has great footwork on defense and will be a great all-around player for us."

Throughout her career, Davis has received high honors, including recently named an All-District 1st Teamer and TAPPS All-State Honorable Mention; Referred to as "Ms. Natural" in September 2006 issue of Volleyball Magazine.

The Lady Wildcats are wrapping up their spring practices and looking forward to the upcoming season, which begins this fall facing off with Jacksonville in Orlando, on August 29.
