TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Bethune-Cookman University's Kevin Rono and Ileis Figueroa each placed sixth in their respective races Saturday at the Bobby Lang Invitational hosted by Florida A&M University.
Rono clocked an 8K time of 27 minutes, 27 seconds in the men's race while Figueroa turned in a 20:56.82 in the women's 5K as both Wildcat teams finished third in the team standings.
Florida A&M swept the individual honors as Shaub Winters paced the Rattler men with a 25:20.91 as they finished second to Morehouse while Clarricia Golden's 19:24.72 helped the FAMU women outdistance Albany State.
Other B-CU men's finishes included Curtis Riggins (21st, 30:50.85); Stephon Pamilton (22nd 30:55.76) ; Tavares Harris (24th, 31:42.9); La'Quan Howard (34th, 34:11.28); Martin Embry (35th, 34:35.95) and Robert Horton (37th, 35:51.88).
Other B-CU women's finishers included Santaneisha Battle (23rd, 25.57.97) and Cenita Sander (29th, 30:06.03).
