College of Charleston Beats Wildcat Netters 7-0

Daytona Beach, Fla.– The Bethune-Cookman University men's tennis team , fell 7-0 on Friday afternoon in a non-conference dual match against the College of Charleston Cougars.

The Wildcats fell behind after dropping the doubles point. College of Charleston Cougars Lnkas Koncilia and Tom Delme picked up a doubles victory for the against No. 1 Wildcats duo Emil Vassilev  8-2.  The Wildcats Greg Streat and Cristian Cruz were also defeated 8-6 at the No. 2 spot by Charleston's duo of Mickael Trintignac and John Harden.  At the No. 3 position, Wildcats Jeff Smallwood and Yannick Jackson were beat by Billy Kenny and S. Myers of College of Charleston.

“The team played well today, but unfortunately, sometimes the score doesn't reflect the way they played. We have to put this behind us and look forward and prepare for the competition on Monday against Sienna College,”  said Graduate Assistant Coach Thabani Sithole.
