Jacksonville, Fla. -The United States Navy men's tennis team defeated the Wildcats 7-0, on the road in Jacksonville Thursday afternoon.

 The Wildcats got off to a strong start as they fought hard and won at No. 3 doubles, with pair Kristofer Martin and Cristian Cruz and Jeff Smallwood 9-8 (7-4) and the US Navy's No. 1 pair Owen Bullard and Nicholas Gutsche clinched the doubles point with a 8-4 win against BCU's Marc Misonavic and Emil Vassilev.

"If we could have gotten the doubles point, we would have had momentum like we need to be successful," said B-CU Head Coach Trey Bogue. "We played some good singles matches and played them tough but did not close out the matches with wins."

The US Navy continued their winning streak by winning all the singles matches to take the 7-0 match.

The Wildcat men's and women's teams return home for their next competition on Monday, March 22 against Wright State University in Daytona Beach at City Island Tennis Center.
