Men's Tennis Team downed by Howard University at MEAC Championship

Raleigh N.C.. - The Bethune-Cookman men's tennis team fought to obtain three of the four points needed for the 4-3 defeat over opponent Howard University in a first round match at the MEAC Championship Friday morning. Although the Wildcats fought hard, it was not enough to win the MEAC championship opening round match this year.
The Wildcats jumped out with a 1-0 lead, when No. 1 doubles team Emil Vassilev defeated Howard opponent Omar Haloui and Devard Wharton 8-5. The Wildcat wins continued after Cristian Cruz and Yannick Jackson gained a victory at the No. 3 doubles position against George Diggs and Brandon Burns of Howard 8-1.
