PIKESVILLE, Md. - Freshman RHP Scott Garner brought B-CU the first regular season national recognition this week, as he was named Pitcher of the Week by Black College Baseball. The Port Orange native earned accolades for his performance in starting game three of the Florida A&M series, which B-CU won 16-6 to complete the sweep of the Rattlers.

Garner only allowed one hit and one walk in six innings, on top of five strikeouts in collecting his third win of the year. As one of the Wildcats' weekend starters, Scott continues to show why he is one of B-CU's top freshman pitchers. In the top of the seventh, when Garner was relieved against FAMU, the Wildcats led 14-0.

The Wildcats are off for the weekend after taking on North Florida and Florida Atlantic mid-week, splitting wins on the week, defeating the Ospreys and falling to the Owls. B-CU returns to action next week in Miami with two games against Florida International on Tuesday and Wednesday.
