DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Seniors Janeen Davis and Krysta Gardner, playing their final home match in historic Moore Gymnasium, had 14 and 10 kills, respectively in Bethune-Cookman's 3-0 (25-17,25-23,25-16) loss to Florida A&M in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Southern Division match Sunday afternoon.
The Lady Cats concluded the 2012 regular season 5-27 and 5-5 in MEAC play, finishing fourth in divisional play. They'll advance to the MEAC conference tournament beginning Friday in Baltimore.
Davis also had seven digs and went over the 800 career mark in that category. Ten of her kills came in the second set.
Gardner also had nine digs and three services.
Freshman setter Monica Lowe finished with 31 assists, while Rhea Simon and Aria Cormier each added four kills.
Yeisha Arcia had 12 kills for Florida A&M, which won the Southern Division with a 10-0 mark in league play and 12-10 overall.
