JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman takes its two-match winning streak to Jacksonville for a Wednesday non-conference match at 7 p.m.
The teams met on opening day, with the Dolphins taking a 3-1 decision. That match was one of the only two B-CU matches that has gone beyond three sets this season.
B-CU UPDATE: The Lady Cats (4-16) took weekend Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference matches against North Carolina A&T and North Carolina Central have won three of their last five.
Delicia Pierre continues to lead the Lady Cats in kills at 3.16 per set. She's also averaging .46 service aces per set and is 27th in the nation in the that category. Rhea Simon is averaging 2.25 kills and 0.29 service aces per set.
ABOUT JACKSONVILLE: The Dolphins (14-2) have won four straight and nine of their last ten. That record is the nation's 13th best, and Jacksonville is also eighth in the nation in aces per set (1.88). Sammie Strausbaugh paces JU with an average of 3.38 kills per set. Jacksonville leads the all-time series 34-1.
