AMANDA HAIRSTON
"It was our last home game of the season and I haven't played to the best of my ability this season. I just wanted to go out there and play my best for the team"
CHASTITY RENE TAYLOR
"I was just out there taking the open shots when I got them."
"We just knew that we had a win and we couldn't play the way that we have been lately. We focused on gettting a good start."
TERRENISHA HOLLIS
"I felt I played well on the defensive end but I could have played better offensively."
HEAD COACH VANESSA BLAIR
"We knew that we had to stop the bleeding from the two previous losses at home. We had shooting woes in both of our previous games and we knew we couldn't win like that shooting 27 percent. We came out and shot the ball well tonight which was the biggest differece."
"The team played unselfishly tonight. With Mandy, Terrinisha and Rene all three came to play today. It was great to have that offensive production from each of them tonight."
[On Seeing The Lead dwindle in the second half]
"It's human nature. You see it all the time in sports when a team get up and the other always comes back. We went to our bench but didn't get the production so we reloaded with our starters."
"Rene has scored for us all year. Tonight she was very accurate. Tonight we moved the ball around and got it to her. We needed Amanda all year. Tonight she was huge. She gave us solid minutes the entire game."
[On Being Close To A Winning Season]
"Its important for the program and the ladies. We worked tireless all year. People don't realize that this team don't have a lot of freshmen but we have eight new players on a roster of 13. It took us some time to gell together. We are starting to see the results."
