NORFOLK, Va. - The Bethune-Cookman Wildcats notched their third weekly conference honors of the year on Thursday, as officials from the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) honored B-CU third baseman Matt Noble as the MEAC Player of the Week for his performance in the week of March 4-10.
A first-year junior from Flagler Beach, Fla., Noble hit .333 (7-for-21) with three doubles and six RBI in five games, against Central Michigan and North Carolina Central. Noble had only a single strikeout on the week.
Defensively, he added 16 assists and four putouts with no errors as the Wildcats finished 3-2 for the week.
This is the first weekly conference honor of his career at Bethune-Cookman.
The Wildcats are taking the road this weekend for a non-conference series against Big XII foe Kansas State (12-8), Friday through Sunday (March 22-24), in Manhattan, Kan.
