DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman won the doubles point for the second straight match, but succumbed in singles once as Florida Atlantic rallied for a 4-3 victory Sunday evening.
The tandems of Santiago Lobelo/Diego Garavito and Moritz Pronath/Juan Varon gave the Wildcats (12-12) a 1-0 lead, but the Owls (8-13) took four of the six singles matches.
Leonardo Lima won at No. 4 singles to stretch his winning streak to six while Pronath took No. 6 singles in a tiebreaker.
The recently paired Varon/Pronath combination remained unbeaten at 3-0.
B-CU travels to No. 17 Florida Wednesday.
