About the Lady Wildcats
Bethune-Cookman (3-13) is looking to snap a five-game losing skid and earn its first conference win of the season in taking on the Lady Eagles for the season's seventh home contest. The Lady Wildcats have remained stalwart defensively, holding high scoring teams down at home and away. The first half was no different against North Carolina A&T, as B-CU limited the Aggies in the opening period, but NCAT used a substantial inside presence to defeat the Lady Wildcats' zone down the stretch.

Offensively, the Lady Wildcats have had spells of brilliance, and the game often goes the way of senior shooting guard Chastity René Taylor, who leads the team with 16.6 points per outing, ranking her eighth among MEAC scorers. She added her sixth 20+ point performance against the Aggies, putting up 20 for her 13th game in double figures. Shakeyia Colyer added 14, plus five steals and six rebounds against the Aggies. The redshirt senior point guard now averages double figures for the first time this season at 10.0 PPG, adding 5.1 RPG.

About the Lady Eagles
Although the meteoric rise of North Carolina Central in 2013-14 may come as no surprise to second-year Head Coach Vanessa Taylor, it's stunning from the outside looking in. The Lady Eagles earned just two wins all of last season, both against Savannah State; not to mention NCCU was playing with just eight players.

It's a whole different look this year for the Lady Eagles, with 11 on the roster, and major contributions from newcomers to provide new life to the program. Leading the group is junior forward and Johnson C. Smith transfer Racquel Davis, who tops the squad with 13.7 PPG and a MEAC fifth-ranked 8.9 RPG. Davis leads the team as well with a 44.8 percent field goal percentage.

Joining Davis in averaging double digits is fifth-year guard and UNC-Wilmington transfer Jessica Freeman, who puts up 13.2 PPG, logging her biggest impact behind the arc with 1.8 three-pointers per contest. Freeman also leads the team in assists with 2.3 APG.

Putting in 9.6 PPG of her own, junior guard Khyra Conerly transferred to the Lady Eagles from Northern Arizona. Conerly also grabs 5.0 RPG and 1.8 SPG.

Bethune-Cookman has tabbed a victory in each of the last eight outings against the Lady Eagles.
