WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – Mikel Trapp scored 12 points in Bethune-Cookman's 63-42 loss to Towson Saturday in the CBE Hall of Fame Classic sub-round at Monmouth.

Trapp did all his scoring in the second half, including three from  behind the arc, but the Wildcats (1-3) dropped their third straight.

Eddie Keith III, Four McGlynn and John Davis each scored 10 points for Towson, who outrebounded the Wildcats 42-25.

Bethune-Cookman held Towson (2-1) to 33.3 percent shooting in the first half, but struggled offensively as well, managing just 31.9 percent for the game.

Quintin Brewer added 11 points and eight rebounds for the Wildcats, while Clemmye Owens had nine points.

The Wildcats conclude the sub-round Sunday afternoon against Central Connecticut State at 2 p.m.
