DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Bethune-Cookman dropped a 6-1 decision to Campbell Wednesday in its final tune-up for Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play that begins this weekend.

Greg Almeida and Diego Garavito registered the Wildcat (1-10) victories at No. 6 and No. 4 singles, respectively. Campbell improved to 6-4.

B-CU opens MEAC conference play Saturday against defending champion South Carolina State in Florence, S.C.

"I believe this result has prepared us for the upcoming MEAC Conference round-up," said Head Coach Tim Pleasant.  "We played even better today than yesterday when we got our first win.If we can compete at this level on a regular basis, then winning will take care of itself. But, going into this weekend the men feel and look confident."
