GREENSBORO, N.C. – Bethune-Cookman volleyball continued its perfect Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference season as the Wildcats (12-15, 9-0 MEAC) shutdown the North Carolina A&T (7-12, 5-4 MEAC) “Senior Night”, during a 3-0 (24-14, 25-10, 25-17) sweep of the Aggies, Friday, Nov. 6 in Greensboro, North Carolina.
A feat set by current sophomore Rakaya Neely a month ago, fellow sophomore Maya Davis tied the top-mark in B-CU history for highest hitter percentage during a match, after finishing with 11 kills and no errors on 15 attempts (11-0-15/.733).
A NCAT kill from senior Brooke Stamnes opened the first set, followed by back-and-forth scoring for the opening points of the set.
After the score was knotted at eight, B-CU used a kill form Delicia Pierre to pull ahead and open a 9-3 run, forcing a NCAT timeout as the Wildcats led, 17-11.
