DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman couldn't capitalize on its doubles victory as College of College of Charleston took a 5-2 decision Friday at City Island Tennis Center.
The Wildcats (1-2) took a 1-0 lead on the strength of duos Walid Gtari/Kevin Deligny and Alexander Chepik/Alvaro Barrera winning the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles matches.
College of Charleston (3-1) recovered and took five of the six singles matches – two after losing the first set – to take the win.
Gtari claimed the Wildcats' lone singles victory.
Bethune-Cookman hosts Florida Gulf Coast Saturday.
