DELAND, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman dropped a 5-2 decision to cross county rival Stetson Wednesday afternoon at Mandy Stoll Tennis Center.
Alexander Chepik and Alvaro Barrera registered victories at No. 1 and No. 4 singles, respectively for the Wildcats, who are now 1-1 on the season.
Barrera remained unbeaten on the season.
Stetson (2-1) took the doubles and the first three singles victories, with Loic Blanco downing Kevin Deligny at No. 3 singles to clinch the match.
Bethune-Cookman returns to action Feb. 13 at home against Charleston.
