STATESBORO, Ga. – Bethune-Cookman dropped a 7-0 loss to Georgia Southern Saturday afternoon.

The short-handed Wildcats (11-11) dropped their third straight. Friday's match with Savannah College of Art Design was cancelled due to inclement weather.

“Hard to play with three guys with the flu and two guys injured,” said B-CU Head Coach Tim Pleasant. “We had to call several matches today due to injuries and sickness. Not good at all.”

Bethune-Cookman hosts South Carolina State Thursday in a crucial Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. The Wildcats and Bulldogs are tied for first in the Southern Division.

“Our goal for now is to just get healthy for the MEAC tournament with hopes of being at full strength by then,” Pleasant said.”
