During head coach
Brittany Williams' return to her alma mater, the Wildcats and the Bison saw 15 tied scores and 9 lead changes during the BCU setback.
Handy led the Wildcats with a match-best 18 kills and 12 digs.
Alondra Bautista finished with a team-high 15 digs while adding nine kills,
Normarie Rolon Soto collected 10 digs, while
Phylecia Armstrong earned a match-best six blocks.
J'nai Higgins paced the BCU offense with 38 assists and eight digs.
Three Bison finished with double-digit kills, led by Katherine Broussard's 16 kills.
Khaila Donaldson trailed Broussard with 15 kills and 16 digs, as Morgan Marlbrough led the match with 19 digs.
Running the Bison offense Tamia Dockery collected a match-high 51 assists.
The Wildcats return to action on Sunday, Oct. 16 as Bethune-Cookman continues to travel north, facing the Morgan State Bears at 1 p.m., in Baltimore, Maryland.
