DAYTONA BEACH, Florida – Spending 11 consecutive days on the road, Bethune-Cookman volleyball returns home, hosting Jacksonville, Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m., at Mainland High School in Daytona Beach.
The match will serve as the Wildcats annual "Dig Pink" match honoroing those effected by Breast Cancer.
BCU
The 5-17 Wildcats most recently blanked Morgan State, Sunday. Oct. 16 in Baltimore, Maryland.
The other four BCU wins came at NCCU on Oct. 9 in Durham, North Carolina, two victories during MEAC opening weekend (Sept. 23-25), sweeping Savannah State and South Carolina State at home and at Tulane (Sept. 3) in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Rookie
Alana Handy currently leads the Wildcat offense with 2.87 per set, while posting five kill/dig double-doubles this season.
Phylecia Armstrong set a program record with a .750 hitting percentage against Tulane, recording 15 kills with zero errors on 20 attempts giving her the second-best percentage in the nation. Armstrong ranks second on the team with 2.00 kills per set and leads the team with 79 total blocks.
On the defensive end, Normaire Rolon Soto has collected a team-best 233 digs (3.19 dps), while
Phalen Clark and
J'nai Higgins have split the setting responsibility with 308 (5.70 aps) and 353 (5.12 aps) assists respectively.

The 5-14 Dolphins are paced by Mallory Mattingly and Jessica Armstrong's 2.61 and 2.54 kills per set.
Defensively, Mackenzie Swan picks up 5.00 digs per set as Armstrong has a total of 54 blocks on the season.
