Box Score ORANGEBURG, South Carolina – Bethune-Cookman volleyball won its third-straight road match as the Wildcats dominated South Carolina State during a 3-0 (25-14, 25-20, 25-9) victory, Sunday, Oct. 23 in Orangeburg, South Carolina.
The (7-18, 5-2 MEAC) Wildcats were led by rookie
Alana Handy who collected her fifth-straight double-double. The Burlington, Wash., native finished with a team-best 11 kills while adding 10 digs and two blocks.
BCU middles,
Rakaya Neely and
Phylecia Armstrong finished perfect for the Wildcats finishing with 10 (.714) and seven (.700) kills respectively with no hitting errors.
Pacing the BCU offense junior
Phalen Clark dished a match-best 37 assists while adding four digs and three service aces.
On the defensive end, senior
Normarie Rolon Soto picked up 14 digs and added two service aces.
The Wildcats return to the hardwood on Tuesday, Oct. 25 as Bethune-Cookman travels to FGCU for a 7 p.m., match in Fort Myers, Florida.
