PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - Redshirt senior Phylecia Armstrong led Bethune-Cookman volleyball, as the Wildcats advanced to the semifinals of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, after a 3-0 (25-17, 25-13, 25-12) victory eliminated Morgan State, Friday (Nov. 17) morning in Princess Anne, Maryland.
In the three-set match, Armstrong finished with a match-high 13 kills, on 19 attempts (.474), while adding four blocks and two digs.
Fellow middle, Rakaya Neely, added nine kills on 14 attempts (.571), while MEAC Rookie of the Year Alana Handy collected a match-best 15 digs.
Pacing the BCU offense, junior Phalen Clark dished a game-high 32 assists, while falling one dig short of a double-double.
The Wildcats return to action Saturday, Nov. 19, as Bethune-Cookman takes on the winner of the Howard/North Carolina Central match during semifinal action at noon.
