BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Brandon Tabb scored 24 points as Bethune-Cookman concluded a four-game road trip with an 93-65 loss to Samford in a San Diego Classic game Saturday night.
Tabb, a junior, reached 20 points for the fifth straight game. He entered the game as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference's leading scorer.
Wyatt Walker's double-double of 19 points and 15 rebounds led four players in double figures as the Bulldogs (3-2) jumped out to a 51-27 halftime lead.
Reggie Baker scored all 13 of his points in the second half for Bethune-Cookman, while
Quinton Forrest finished with 11.
Diamante Lewis led the Wildcats (2-5) with seven rebounds.
The Wildcats, who have played five games in the last eight days, will return to action on Saturday, December 3 against Cleveland State, the alma mater of Head Coach
Gravelle Craig at Quicken Loans Arena.
