DELAND, Fla. -- Alvaro Barrera registered Bethune-Cookman's lone victory Wednesday as the Wildcats dropped a 6-1 decision at Stetson.
Barrera defeated Stetson's Simon Julin at No. 5 singles by a 7-5, 6-3 count to improve to 4-2 in the spring.
The No. 1 doubles team of
Walid Gtari and Jose Plazas was leading 5-4 when play was suspended as Stetson took the other two matches for the doubles point.
Bethune-Cookman (2-5) returns to action Feb. 23 when it hosts Lynn.
