TAMPA – Bethune-Cookman joins eight state of Florida Division I programs at USF this weekend for the annual Bedford Cup beginning Friday.

Sponsored by the Youth Tennis Foundation of Florida, the Bedford Cup is an annual traveling tournament, bringing together Division I tennis programs in Florida. It began in 2011 and has been hosted by FGCU, Florida, Florida State and North Florida.

This is the second of four Fall tournaments for the Wildcats.

Last weekend at the HBCU Nationals, the doubles teams of Alvaro Barrera and Pablo Lopez advanced to the semifinals of their flight, while Barrera advanced to his singles flight quarterfinals. Juan Ruiz and David Ocampa registered two singles wins in their B-CU debuts.

Draws can be found HERE. There will be two singles draws, one with 16 individuals and the other with 32. The lone doubles draw will feature 32 pairs.
The Women's Bedford Cup takes place at USF next weekend.
