FT. MYERS, Fla. -- Jessica Emile had eight kills, but Bethune-Cookman's four-match winning streak ended Tuesday night with a 3-0 (25-11,25-15,25-18) loss to Florida Gulf Coast in Alico Arena.
Daniele Serrano had 12 kills ass the Atlantic Sun conference leading Eagles (16-6) held the Wildcats (8-9) to a season-low .086 hitting percentage in the sweep.
Alondra Bautista posted five kills and
Alana Handy four for the Wildcats, while libero
Rechez Lindsay finished with 19 digs.
Bethune-Cookman was without senior
Rakaya Neely, who had academic commitments.
The Wildcats will be on the road this weekend at Howard Friday night and Maryland-Eastern Shore Sunday night. Â Both teams are atop in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Northern Division. The matches do not count in conference standings, but could provide a preview of the conference tournament November 17-19 in Princess Anne, Md.
NOTES: FGCU is the only team to sweep the Wildcats this season … Emile's kills were her B-CU career high … Lindsay has averaged  19 digs a match the last three matches.Â
