Alana Handy 24 digs as Bethune-Cookman downed North Carolina A&T 3-0 (25-13,25-10,25-14) in a key Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Southern Division match Friday night.

Jai Chapman and
Rakaya Neely each added seven kills as the Wildcats (11-13 overall, 8-1 conference) put themselves in position to claim the division's number one seed for next week's conference tournament. Bethune-Cookman claims the seed if it beats North Carolina Central Sunday.

Jessica Emile and Faith Landreneaux each added six kills as Bethune-Cookman posted a season-high hitting percentage of .344.

Handy's 24 digs tied her for the tenth best single-match total in program history and helped the Wildcats hold the Aggies (14-12, 6-3) to a negative hitting percentage.

The Wildcats trailed just once -- at 1-0 in the second set -- as they swept the season series.
